The more things change, the more we find ways of reinventing things of the past.

The art of storytelling continues to be a major force in 2013, but in a collaborative and collective way. Brands will encourage narratives about themselves online and in social media.

Even with brick and mortar, the retail revolution is reinventing the shopping experience through narrative. At New York’s STORY concept shop, brands tell stories about themselves in a gallery-like exhibition space. A new STORY is launched every four to eight weeks, driven by themes from the holidays to wellness, with a collection of products on display (not “stored”) and purchased digitally.
