Time to switch ROI to ROTI

If businesses seek ROI, consumers look for ROTI (not to be confused with Indian flatbread) – it stands for Return on Time Invested

Nowadays, people’s most valued commodity is time. They multi-task, take shortcuts, use abbrev. So when designing a marketing plan, consider ROTI to build their loyalty. Make it worth their while.

As advertising and promotion shifts toward content and engagement, the consumer’s perspective rules. They might not mind an ad, as long as it’s entertaining or informative. They expect to get something back for every minute spent. Make the content worth their time. Otherwise you risk losing them.

To determine a campaign’s effectiveness, calculate a strategy for high ROTI. That approach will bring a positive measurable return on your investment.
