Thankful for modern technology.

My first pregnancy went great! I had minor complications in the beginning, some spotting and whatnot, but after stopping work I was just fine. At one of my monthly appointments she took my blood pressure, as normal, had me go into the room, had me lay down, and took it again. Then the nurse called in the OB to take it again. My blood pressure was ridiculously high (I can't remember exactly) Then they were trying to figure out why I wasn't feeling like I was going to black out, or seeing spots, or any of the other telltale signs of high Blood pressure. I went home and monitored my blood pressure for a week, and it was just horrific. I was quickly put on medication for it, and had no further complications. I do not know what I would have done had something awful happened to me or the baby due to my blood pressure. I'm so very thankful that I had doctors and nurses to take care of me, especially since I had no idea what was wrong. As far as births go- I don't share those stories, both of mine were easy and quick :)
