Young Entrepreneurs, Hannah and Audrey Flood were extra busy in their basement this summer. In addition to working two jobs each, they started a new business selling handmade, tie-dye shirts, hats, and socks.
The company, Feel the Love Tees, is a give back business explained Hannah. “For every five shirts we sell we give one back to local youth in need.” “We really want to keep it local,” says Audrey, “This year we gave 30 shirts to the South Haven back-to-school backpack program. It’s fun seeing little kids in the community wearing our shirts, that makes us feel really good.”
Feel the Love Tees sold shirts at the South Haven Farmers’ And Artists’ market this past summer. They also filled corporate orders for Captain Nemos and DeGrandchamp’s Blueberry Farm. The company closed its doors in September for the start of the school year. Hannah is a freshman at Michigan State University and Audrey is a sophomore at South Haven High School. “We’re still taking corporate order though,” explains Audrey, “We have to do something over Christmas break.”
Feel the Love Tees is looking for a new local group to give shirts to next summer. If you know of a local youth-focused group, in need of some very colorful and original shirts send an email to email@example.com.
